Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services depends on a hardworking and dedicated corps of volunteer on a daily basis. Volunteers are the backbone of the organization, performing duties in all six of our programs. With an average of one paid staff member per program, Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services relies on our volunteers to keep our programs running successfully.
Volunteers can help out in a variety of ways, including providing support to our distribution programs, bagging groceries, sorting clothing, mentoring new parents, tutoring elementary and high-school students, leading computer classes, supporting adult education courses, assisting in ESL classes, filing and administrative tasks, translating documents, event support and more.
