Hunger Action Month
September is Hunger Action Month, a nationwide movement to raise awareness about hunger and inspire action to help alleviate it.
Here in Sacramento County, more than 1 in 4 people are at risk of hunger. That means that hunger isn’t somewhere else’s problem. It’s one of our community’s greatest issues, and we all have a role to play in solving it.
This September, take action.
How can you help?
DONATE
Your gift puts food on the table for children, families and seniors throughout Sacramento County.
Every $1 donated provides 3 meals for neighbors facing hunger.
VOLUNTEER
Food doesn’t move from our warehouse to our neighbors’ tables without volunteers. Whether you’re sorting donations, packing food or helping at a distribution, your time helps us get more food to more families.
FUNDRAISE
When you host a virtual fundraiser, you leverage our buying power to turn financial donations into meals. Virtual food drives are easy and effective, with every $1 providing 3 meals!
