Make an Impact in Your Community
We are here to offer solutions, feed our community and connect those moved to contribute with those in need. You can support families in our community by collecting donations of non-perishable foods like tuna, peanut butter, soups, fruits and vegetables at your office, church or community center. Click here for a food drive wish list!
Complete the form below and our Donation Drive Coordinator will be in touch within three business days regarding barrel drop off. Please note, delivery of barrels can take between 7-10 business days. If you would like to pick up your barrel, please make a note in the form below.
New for 2019! In order to use our transportation resources more efficiently, we are offering an alternate solution to barrel delivery for donations. Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services will now be offering boxes that you can pick up from our Food Bank Services campus to fill with your donations. Each box will hold about 30 pounds of food (depending on the items) so they will be easier to manage than the barrel. You will also be able to pick them up when the timing is right for your drive so you can get going right away. No more waiting for us to get there! All you have to do is let our warehouse staff know you are picking up boxes for the Spirit of Giving food drive, and then when you are done, you can drop them off with us. Again, let our staff know you are participating in the Spirit of Giving food drive and they will give you a receipt.
Want to get the most “bang for your buck?” Host a virtual drive by donating financially online instead of donating food. Your fundraising efforts or company contribution of $300 can provide $3,000 of goods and services for programs to help those in our community. We have the ability to buy fresh fruits, vegetables, dairy products and other items that our partner agencies and clients request at bulk pricing. Click here to set up your own online page you can distribute via link to colleagues, friends and family.
If you are still interested in getting a barrel delivered, please complete the form below and our Donation Drive Coordinator will be in touch within three business days regarding barrel drop off. Please note: delivery of barrels can take between 7-10 business days. If you would rather pick up your barrel, please make a note in the form below. We ask that if you choose to get a barrel, you commit to at least 200 pounds of food or a $300 donation to offset the cost of transportation.
