Come behind the scenes and meet the people who make the organization run! Meet Krystal Oliver, SFBFS’ Family Services Volunteer Coordinator.
What’s your favorite thing about working at SFBFS?
One of my favorite things is when a client or volunteer share their experiences and describe the positive impact our organization has in their lives.
What does a typical workday at SFBFS look like for you?
Lots of walking and talking in order to provide tours orientation and support to staff at the family services campus.
What inspires you in supporting the SFBFS mission and culture?
My belief in the mission and true desire to help others become self-sufficient. Every day I try to treat each person as I would want to be treated whether it's a volunteer that I have to tell the same thing to over and over or the client in crisis. Human kindness is first and foremost and that is the culture that inspires me to continue to be here.
What is your favorite pastime?
Spending time with family and writing.
What is your favorite fruit or veggie and why?
Favorite veggie would have to be collard greens and I love all types of fruit!
