Happy New Year! I hope 2019 treats you well and brings joy to your family and friends.
The staff and volunteers at Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services (SFBFS) returned from celebrating the start of 2019 full of energy with a renewed commitment to serve families in our community. The beginning of a new year signals a fresh start, which many of the individuals who turn to SFBFS seek. Whether they desire to earn their GED, learn English or try a healthier diet, SFBFS provides a place of hope for children, seniors and adults. SFBFS offers tools ranging from clothing to technology, provides support ranging from food to kindness, to help people secure financial independence and self-sufficiency.
I hope to share information each quarter with you about the impact your gifts make at SFBFS. For example, the classes you offered Ogla through Health & Nutrition opened her eyes and profoundly changed the future health of her children.
"I come from a family with health problems like diabetes and high blood pressure so I want to do what I can to prevent getting sick. Children, they learn from their parents, so I want to teach them by example."

May your 2019 be filled with hope and prosperity. And thank you for providing that hope to our fellow neighbors.
